Life has been so quiet lately, I can’t come up with much to write about. I guess that’s a good thing.
Bridget, my standard poodle, recently tried a different grooming salon and came out with a new haircut. She always is so happy after a haircut. Partly because she can see again once her bangs are cut. We had to switch, her previous groomer (and owner of the “salon”) lost all his staff. The last time I took her there at 8:30 am and she wasn’t ready to come home until almost 9 pm. Her groomer that day announced that he had done 17 dogs that day all by himself! There’s more to this story, but I think the previous statement says it all.
I ordered another fleece from a wonderful farm in Colorado called SisterSheep. I wanted a wool that could be worn next to the skin, so this fleece is from a Rambouilett sheep. It arrived yesterday and it was beautiful, so soft and carefully skirted, very clean. It will be much easier to process than the last two I got at Maryland Sheep and Wool. I found the farm on Etsy, there are very few fleece to be had at this time of year-shearing was done earlier this spring. I was really surprised at the high demand for sheep fleece. So I will be washing fleece all weekend.
We will attend my grandson Max’s football game on Sunday. They are in the playoffs on a local tag (not sure it that’s right) football team. So much fun to watch! I must remember to take pictures next time.
Well, I think I’ve stretched this as far as I can. Hopefully I’ll have more to say, and sooner, next time.
